Understanding
I hold a BA (Hons) in Psychotherapy and an MSc in Psychology, alongside a postgraduate certificate in neuro-nutrition. My work integrates psychological theory with an understanding of brain health and overall wellbeing.
I offer a calm and welcoming therapeutic space, both online and in person from my private rooms in Birkdale. My practice is grounded in inclusivity and respect for individual difference - recognising that people experience, process, and respond to the world in their own way.
This is a neurodevelopmentally informed environment, designed to support comfort, regulation, and genuine therapeutic connection.
Whether you are a young person navigating challenges, or an adult seeking clarity, change, or deeper understanding, you will find a space here that is attuned, respectful, and responsive to your needs.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Psychotherapy and an MSc in Psychology, alongside a postgraduate certificate in neuro-nutrition. My work integrates psychological theory with an understanding of brain health and overall wellbeing.
I work holistically, recognising the dynamic relationship between mind, body, and environment. Where appropriate, this may include consideration of lifestyle factors such as stress, sleep, and nutrition as a way of supporting emotional and cognitive wellbeing.
I am particularly attuned to differences in attention, sensory experience, and processing style. I do not work to labels; instead, I focus on understanding each individual in context. Therapy is therefore collaborative, flexible, and responsive - there is no “one size fits all” approach.
I have extensive experience supporting children and adolescents, including those with complex and diverse needs, and have previously held senior clinical leadership roles within multidisciplinary settings.
Work with young people begins with a collaborative assessment and formulation process, enabling a thorough understanding of their strengths, experiences, and areas of need.
From this, I develop a structured and personalised programme of support, typically offered over an initial 8-session framework. This integrates psychological insight with practical strategies to support.
Above all, I prioritise creating a space in which young people feel safe, understood, and able to engage at their own pace.
I offer therapeutic support to adults across a wide range of experiences and life stages. People often come to therapy when something no longer feels sustainable - whether that is a period of change, a sense of feeling stuck, or a desire for greater clarity and understanding.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. I take time to understand your individual context, including how you think, feel, and process the world around you.
Session fees range from £80 to £120, depending on the level of support required and the complexity of the work involved. This will be discussed and agreed transparently at the outset to ensure clarity and suitability.
I am a registered member of the BACP, fully insured, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical, safe, and professional practice. I engage in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision to ensure the quality and integrity of my work.
